COMMUNITY & SHARING GUIDELINES
Effective date: 2026-03-19 Last updated: 2026-04-17
1. Purpose
These guidelines explain how sharing works in Selv-a and how to share safely and responsibly, including when you share screenshots or images generated from Outputs.
2. Scope
Applies to:
- shared links (including compare links, predict links, and group-compare links)
- group comparisons and collaborative experiences
- any feature that allows others to view or interact with your Outputs or shared content
- screenshots, screen recordings, and images generated from Outputs (including postcards (share cards))
3. Key principles
- You choose what to share.
- Shared content can be copied, forwarded, screen-captured, or saved by recipients.
- If you turn content into an image (for example by taking a screenshot or generating a postcard (share card)), it may be shared outside Selv-a and outside our access controls.
- Do not share anything you would not want redistributed.
4. Your responsibility when sharing
You are responsible for:
- who you share with and where you share
- ensuring you have the right to share the content
- reviewing the shared content before sending, including any personal or sensitive information that may appear in the text or image
- Selv-a is not responsible for what recipients do with shared content, including copying, reposting, or redistributing it.
5. What not to share
Do not share:
- sensitive personal information (health details, legal issues, financial account details, identification documents)
- passwords, authentication codes, or private keys
- personal data about other people without their permission or another lawful basis
- content that violates the Acceptable Use Policy
- any postcard (share card), screenshot, or other image generated from Outputs that contains personal data you do not want disclosed
6. Group comparisons
If you invite others to a group comparison:
- invite only people you trust
- avoid including personal data of third parties
- do not pressure anyone to participate
- ensure participants understand the limits of confidentiality and that the Service is not a secure messaging system
7. Link sharing and access controls
Shared links may be accessible to anyone who has the link unless the Service provides access controls.
If you need strict access controls, do not use link sharing. If you export content as an image, access controls may no longer apply.
7.1 Shared reflection links and compare
You can create a shareable link for a reflection flow (for example quizzes and decision flows, including the Selv-a Mirror check-in). When you share a compare link as a registered user, the recipient sees your display name (and your surname, if you have set one), the questions of the flow, and your answers, so that they can compare with their own answers. Open-response answers are not shown to the other participant and are not used to calculate the match score or to generate compare insights. The questions of the flow are shared so that the other participant can answer them. See Privacy Policy §2.1(B) for the full payload description.
Selv-a also offers:
- a “predict” mode, where the recipient guesses how you answered and sees how close their guesses were to your actual answers
- group compare, where up to five people can compare their answers to the same flow in a shared session.
- In each mode, everyone who participates can see the shared answers of the other participants for that flow. Shared links are typically valid for 7 days. Anyone who has the link can open it unless the Service provides additional access controls.
Do not share a compare, predict, or group-compare link if you want your answers to stay private. Do not include questions or answers about other people (for example a partner, a family member, or a colleague) in a shared flow without their permission or another lawful basis.
8. Reporting and takedown
If you believe shared content is abusive, illegal, or violates your rights, email support@selv-a.com. The app also includes an in-app safety report for flagging problematic AI outputs directly from the screen where the output appears.
We may be able to remove or disable access to content hosted in Selv-a (for example links or group comparisons). We may not be able to remove content that has been copied, screen-captured, or shared outside the Service.
9. Enforcement
We may restrict sharing features, remove shared content hosted in Selv-a, or suspend accounts for misuse.
